Athens

I am currently getting used to Germany and finding my way around Munich. It wasn't hard leaving Greece, I had a perfect trip and I know I'll be back. Here are the pictures from Athens. Above and below are pictures taken at the Agora
I also visited the National Archeological Museum which houses hundreds of marble statues and thousands of painted vases. Unfortunately, the really do start to look the same in the end.
One of the guards by Presidential Palace. Notice the pompoms on the shoes.
This was the stadium where the first modern Olympic Games were held in 1896.
And, of course, the famous Acropolis!
The Parthenon is under constant restoration. You just have to imagine it without the scaffolding.

The views from the Acropolis were incredible. I got there early on an overcast morning, thankfully before the tour groups started to arrive.

I would love to go into more detail, but it's 11:30 and I've been travelling all day. I think it's time for sleep.
